Banana Fish

In 1984, Ash Lynx, known as Aslan Jade Callenreese, was picked up by the very infamous Dino Golzine, the godfather of the Mafia, from the streets of New York City. Ash, now 17 years old and chief of his own gang, is given a mysterious drug he calls “Banana Fish”-the same words his older brother, Griffin, has been repeating since his return from the Iraq War.

A secret underground bar used by Ash as a hideout complicates Dino’s investigation when his men are sent to obtain the drug from Ash. Shunichi Ibe and his assistant, Eiji Okumura, are Japanese photographers who are covering street gangs in America. Skip, Ash’s friend introduces him to them at the bar. Fortunately, one of Ash’s allies, Shorter Wong, interrupts the conversation to warn him about Dino. As soon as Dino’s men storm the bar, they abduct Skip and Eiji during the chaos that follows. Now Ash must figure out how to save the children as well as continue his investigation into Banana Fish; however, will his history with the Mafia hinder his attempts?
