Ao no Exorcist
Assiah and Gehenna, the two worlds in which they live, are the opposites of humankind and demons. In ghost stories, possession is the only way to travel between realms. But Satan, ruler of Gehenna, is unable to find an appropriate host to possess and remains a prisoner of his world.
His desperate attempt to take down Assiah prompts him to send his son instead, so he can eventually grow into a vessel that the demon king will be able to possess. As the title suggests, Ao no Exorcist concerns Rin Okumura, a troubled but seemingly normal teenager until he is suddenly faced with demons one day. When he realizes that he is in fact the son of Satan, his world is turned upside down as he discovers his demon father wishes for him to return so the two of them can conquer Assiah together. Rin doesn’t want to join the king of Gehenna and instead decides to become an exorcist so that he can fight alongside his brother Yukio to defend Assiah.
