Cowboy Bebop
The year 2071 will have seen humanity colonize many of the planets and moons in the solar system, leaving behind an uninhabitable surface on planet Earth. The Inter Solar System Police, which does its best to maintain peace in the galaxy, is assisted by outlaw bounty hunters, referred to as “Cowboys.” The ragtag team aboard the spaceship Bebop is made up of two such individuals. Jet Black, a boisterous and pragmatic partner to Spike Spiegel, chases bountys and collects rewards with mellow, carefree Spike Spiegel.
After meeting Ein, the genetically engineered, highly intelligent Welsh Corgi; the femme fatale Faye Valentine, the mysterious trickster with memory loss; and the strange computer genius Edward Wong, the crew ends up on thrilling adventures that slowly reveal their darker pasts. It is a classic space western that is a blend of high octane action and light-hearted comedy. It is named after the smooth, spontaneous music it was inspired by.
