The year is 2071. Due to the appearance of man-eating monsters known as “Aragami,” which are immune to standard weaponry, humanity is on the verge of extinction. The land was ravaged, as they consumed everything they encountered and left nothing behind. As a last-ditch effort, a company called Fenrir was founded to defeat them using “God Eaters”-individuals with Oracle cells that can wield the God Arc, the only weapon proven to be truly lethal to Aragami. Lenka Utsugi, a New-Kind whose God Arc determines the type of each gun and blade, is such a God Eater.
Lenka needs to get his hands on the God Arc so he can accomplish his goal of wiping out the Aragami once and for all, since it is one of Fenrir’s best weapons. In the meantime, the monsters are giving birth en masse, and the vestiges of humanity are fighting to survive the night. The human race stands only a matter of time before we are annihilated by the Aragami.
