Several of the Celestial Records speak of the existence of the “Seraphim,” divine beings who offer blessings to humanity and worship them in return. These spirits are enabled to communicate with humans through individuals or groups of people called Shepherds. Known for appearing at the right time and for their power, Shepherds have become imprinted in folklore as heroes and feared evil beings.

As a young human living in harmony alongside the Seraphim in the village of Elysia, Sorey has spent the majority of his life with the Seraphim. A stranger to the records of the Celestial Records, Mikleo attends the nearby ruins with Mikleo—his childhood companion who had a close relationship with the Seraphims—hoping to gain more knowledge about the history of the Seraphims and them. Unfortunately, they become trapped in the depths of the historical site during the course of their exploration. While searching for an exit, they run into a mysterious girl who desperately seeks the help of a shepherd to save the world. The world is under the threat of being consumed by darkness. In spite of Mikleo’s warning about making contact with humans, Sorey tries to help the stranger, which unknowingly leads him closer to his goal of peaceful coexistence between humanity and Seraphim.
