Btooom!
Ryouta Sakamoto, a 40-year-old unemployed man living with his mother, is not only Japan’s best player of Btooom, but he is also the top player in online video games. He has no memory of how he got there, but when he wakes up on an island in the middle of nowhere, a small green crystal is embedded in his left hand, and all he remembers is the way he got there.
He was shocked to learn that someone had recreated the game he loves in real life, where the stakes were life or death. Each player is given a bag filled with unique bombs called “BIM” which he or she needs to kill seven of their fellow competitors and retrieve their green crystals in order to return home. Although Ryouta initially condemns any form of violence, he is forced to fight when he realizes that many of the players are not as welcoming as they might seem. It’s a pleasure to team up with fellow Btooom Himiko! player, they attempt to get off of the island together, coming closer and closer to the truth behind this contest of death.
