Throughout Hellsalem’s Lot, formerly New York City, supernatural creatures such as supersonic monkeys, vampires, talking fishmen, and a range of other supernatural creatures live alongside humans on a daily basis. New Yorkers and creatures from the Other Dimension were forced to live together in a bubble of impenetrable space three years ago when a portal between the two universes opened.

There’s a mysterious organization in the city called Libra composed of eccentrics and superhumans. They’re tasked with keeping order in the city and preventing chaos from spreading around the city. Leonardo Watch, a photographer who lives with his parents and sister, pursues photography as a hobby. Afterward, however, he goes to Hellsalem’s Lot to help his sister by finding out about his strange powers. After that, he goes to the apocalypse and loses his sister’s sight. As soon as he meets Libra, he finds out that Leo has unexpectedly joined their ranks, which has more consequences than he bargained for. As the ordinary boy unwittingly sees his life take a turn for the extraordinary, Kekkai Sensen follows his misadventures with his equally strange friends in the strangest place on Earth.
